Kyoto Classic Tumbler

This is a tumbler designed by combining Nishijin textiles. By wrapping Kyoto's traditional Nishijin fabric, which was used for kimono strips, in a tumbler, it was designed to make everyday items very rich. The Japanese is coloring of the edges when wrapping something, so I not only round the cloth, but also wrapped the distinctive black graphics around the edges. The black part like a crane tightens the vivid fabric and makes it look more beautiful. 西陣織の生地を組み合わせてデザインしたタンブラーです。着物の帯に使われていた京都の伝統的な西陣織をタンブラーに包むことで、日用品がとてもリッチなものへと変化するようにデザインしました。日本人は何かを包む際にその縁を彩ることから着想を得て、単に布を巻くだけでなく、特徴的な黒のグラフィックを縁に施して包みました。鶴のような黒の部分は鮮やかな生地を引き締め、より美しく見せています。
