Kasane No Iro Fixture

It’s the design of fixture to sell Kasane No Iro's products kimono in the hotel "The Screen" in Kyoto. In order to sell products in a pop store format at a corner of the hotel, hangers, stock shelves and fitting mirrors were functionally necessary in a small space. I thought of a fixture like Japanese traditional Byobu with wood and mirror alternately so as to satisfy those functions and match with traditional Japanese kimono. This furniture has become a mysterious appearance by the reflection of the mirror, has a strong presence in the space beyond a mere object. 京都のホテル「ザ・スクリーン」にKasane No Iroの商品のきものを販売するための什器の設計です。ホテルの一角にポップストア形式で商品を販売するため、小さなスペースの中にハンガー掛け、ストック棚、試着用鏡が機能上必要でした。それらの機能を満たし、きものという日本の伝統的なものとマッチするように、木と鏡が交互に組み合わさった屏風のような什器を考えました。この什器は鏡の反射によって不思議な見え方をするようになり、単なるものを超えて空間の中で強い存在感をもつ什器となっています。
