Located in the historic district where Takaoka began, this former textile company building was transformed into a mixed-use space centered on a café conceived as an “open caretaker’s room.” A triangular counter and a deck extending toward the street create openness and connection. Red, inspired by local cultural symbols, is paired with Toyama craft materials such as copper and lacquer, while embroidered drawings preserve the building’s memory.

高岡市の始まりの地、土蔵造りの街並みが残る歴史あるエリアに建つ、旧繊維会社のビルを、多様な人々を迎え入れる複合空間へと再生した。中心には、オーナーが営む「開かれた管理人室」としてのカフェを据え、建物全体を見渡せる視野を確保するため、三角形のカウンターと街へ張り出すデッキを設計している。御車山や赤レンガの旧富山銀行に通じる街の文化を象徴するように赤を基調とし、銅板や漆など富山の工芸素材を取り入れた。さらに、図面を刺繍したアートワークを通して、この建物が刻んできた記憶を継承している。
