Songdo Library Proposal

This is a competition plan for a library in Gwangju, South Korea. A triangular-shaped building was placed and covered with a large roof so that the green areas of the city could be incorporated into the site. This creates a large semi-outdoor public space, where landscape and architecture merge to create a variety of spaces. The large roof is also symbolic and strongly envelops culture and people. 韓国のクァンジュ広域市に建つ図書館のコンペ案です。都市の緑地帯を敷地にも取り込むように、三角形の形状の建築を配置し、大きな屋根で覆いました。それによって大きな半屋外の公共スペースを作り出し、ランドスケープと建築が融合し、さまざまな空間が生まれます。 大きな屋根も象徴的であり、文化と人々を力強く包み込んでいます。
