Philosophy

I design everything related to architecture, based on architecture, taking advantage of our experience overseas, the pride of being Japanese that I realized by looking at Japan from the outside, and the sensibility nurtured by the rich climate of Toyama, my hometown.
I aspire to present progressive designs that respect history and connect it to the future. And I want to create comfortable, beautiful and rich space.
Every project has various given conditions such as the client's request, vision, budget, function, site, cultural and historical background etc. Designing is also about embracing them, giving “Form” and “Material” to the client’s thoughts, and creating a new “Landscape” in the environment.
I call the condensed core of the design, which is packed with various elements, the "Concept", and I design it because it is important to create a strong "concept" in order to make the project better.
I always want to create a strong concept and create beautiful space that will remain in the heart.

海外での経験、外から日本を見ることで気づいた日本人としての誇り、地元富山の豊かな風土から育まれた感性を活かして、建築を軸に、建築に関わるもの全てを設計しています。
私は歴史を尊重し未来に繋げる現在進行形のデザインを希求しています。そして心に響く心地よいもの、美しいもの、豊かなもの、をつくりたいと思っています。
全てのプロジェクトにはそれぞれ、クライアントの要望やビジョン、予算、機能、敷地や物件のコンテクスト、文化的背景や歴史的背景など様々な与条件があります。デザインするということは、それらを包括し、クライアントの想いに「かたち」と「素材」を与え、環境の中に新しい「風景」をつくることでもあります。
その様々な要素が詰まったデザインを凝縮した核を私は「コンセプト」と呼び、ぶれない強い「コンセプト」をつくることがプロジェクトをよりよくするために重要だと考え設計しています。
強いコンセプトをつくり、心に残る美しい空間をつくっていきたいといつも思い、日々創作しています。
