Gwangju Library Proposal

This is a proposal design for competition of Gwangju City Library. This architecture looks like a series of booksThe architecture takes on a form that expresses the culture of such a book and is designed to be part of a culture that has long been rooted in the land. The open form of the books is a symbol of open architecture for all and reminds of the beginning of the architectural experience. By inserting new architecture without cutting existing trees, it is using the most of the land and respecting the history of the land. 韓国のクァンジュ広域市に建つ図書館のコンペ案です。本を開くとき、私たちは物語の始まりや知識との出会いにドキドキします。また、本という人間が生み出した知識や文化の蓄積には敬意を払うべき価値があります。この建築はそのような本が並んでいるような形から構成されており、文化を表現することを意図して設計しました。また本が開かれたような形は、すべての人にとって開かれた建築の象徴であり、建築経験の始まりを想起させます。既存の木を切らずにシンプルに新しい建築を挿入することで、土地を最大限に活用し、その歴史を尊重し未来に繋げる建築を提案しました
